CCHS student Wu learns campaign lessons from Cataldo

I am writing in support of Simon Cataldo to be our next State Representative on Beacon Hill.

I met Simon on his first canvas in the summer of 2021. He grew up in the house next door to mine in West Concord, and started his voter outreach on our cul-de-sac. Over a decade after his family moved from North Branch Road, he remains friends with our neighbors.

As a current CCHS student who is involved in student government, I immediately identified with Simon’s grassroots campaign and his policy platform. I have had the pleasure of knocking on nearly 700 doors with the campaign, and have recruited my friends to join me. If you live in Precincts 1, 2, or 5, there’s a good chance you’ve seen me at your door with a stack of campaign literature.

Being a part of my first campaign, I have learned to accept everyone, keep an open mind, and be kind — three of the most important values to Simon and his campaign.

Simon’s experiences growing up in our town and graduating from our public schools make him uniquely qualified to speak on behalf of our residents. Simon’s passion leads him to develop bigger projects to help the greater good, an eternally valuable skill as our next legislator. Simon’s professional background as a teacher, nonprofit leader, and public corruption prosecutor is impressive, but his personality is in my view his best qualification for this position. His willingness to talk and listen to anyone coupled with his thoughtfulness are essential traits. Simon knows how to get things done and make friends along the way. I am proud to support Simon, and I hope you will also support him on November 8.
