Patrick Dowcett, 28

November 15, 2022

Patrick Dowcett, aged 28, of Concord, beloved son of Peggy Dowcett, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 3.

Born in 1994 to Peggy and the late John Dowcett, Patrick graduated from Concord Carlisle High School in 2013 and later graduated from Salem State College with a Bachelor’s degree in Business and Marketing and a minor in Psychology.  For the last several years, he worked remotely as a product support specialist at Open Exchange in Boston.

Patrick grew up in Carlisle and was an avid baseball player throughout his middle school years. He enjoyed fishing with his dad and boating in Cape Cod and Onset. As an adult, his primary avocation was creating electronic music; prior to Covid, he performed in several music festivals throughout the US. He also had an enthusiasm for food and cooking, particularly good cuts of steak and authentic barbecue. Patrick appreciated local craft beers; he identified exceptionally well-brewed IPAs and brought them as gifts to friends he knew would value them.

Patrick is survived by his mother Peggy of Concord, his sister and brother-in-law, Sarah and Matthew Barston and their son Charlie, of Gloucester, his grandparents Mary and Donald Edwards and many uncles, aunts, and cousins.

Relatives and friends gathered for a Celebration of Life on Sunday, Nov. 13 from 4 to 6 pm at Nashawtuc Country Club, 1861 Sudbury Road, Concord.  Patrick was laid to rest beside his father during a private burial service at Green Cemetery in Carlisle.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for those who are able make a donation in his memory to the Patrick Dowcett Memorial Fund at https://supporting.afsp.org/campaign/Patrick-Dowcett-Memorial-Fund.

Arrangements are under the care of Dee Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Concord.  To share a remembrance or to offer a condolence in Patrick’s online guestbook, please visit www.DeeFuneralHome.com
