The Concord Housing Authority and Habitat for Humanity of Greater Lowell are partnering to build a new single-family home on a small corner of the Gerow Park land the Town purchased for $3 million several years ago.

The lot, now part of an existing CHA property, overlooks Warner’s Pond and abuts the Bruce Freeman Rail Trail on Commonwealth Avenue.

The creation of one unit of affordable housing was required under the terms of the Gerow Purchase in 2018 and is expected to be ready for occupancy in 2023. This unit will be sold to an income- eligible family who will help to build the home, along with many other sponsors and volunteers.
