All Ages

“Board Games for All Ages” Sunday, Feb. 5, 2 p.m.

Bust winter boredom with a cozy afternoon of board games at the Main Library! We will have games for all ages, including children’s games in the Children’s Library, Kahoots for tweens and teens in the Teen Lounge, and adult offerings in the Goodwin Forum. You can also bring your favorite game from home to play, and the Library will provide snacks, raffle prizes, and more! This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Concord Free Public Library. No registration required.

Adult Programs

“Conversation Circle for English Language Learners” Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2:30 p.m.

Join us for a volunteer-led gathering to practice English. All levels welcome, including beginners. This program will take place at the Fowler Branch Library. No registration required.

Who We Are: Viewing and Discussion with the League of Women Voters” Saturday, Feb. 11, 1 p.m.

Join the League of Women Voters to watch and then discuss Who We Are: A Chronicle of Racism in America. This screening is part of a series of community viewing organized by Communities Organizing Against Racism (COAR) in collaboration with other local organizations. This program will take place at the Fowler Branch Library. Registration is optional, but register online to receive reminders.

“Tuesday Book Discussion: Between the World and Me” Tuesday, Feb. 14, 9:30 a.m.

Join other readers to discuss Between the World and Me, by Ta-Nehisi Coates. Copies of the book are available at the Main Library Circulation Desk. Program will take place at the Main Library.

Teen Programs

“Teen Board Game Advisory Board” Thursday, Feb. 9, 3:30 p.m.

Teens! Join The Board Game Advisory Board and receive your very own Board Game Board Member membership card! Choose games from our selection at the Library, plan which games we purchase in the future, or bring your own games from home – board games, table top role playing, card games, and more are all welcome! Popcorn will ALWAYS be provided. Program will take place in the Teen Lounge at the Main Library.

Children’s Programs

“Musical Mondays with Hugh Hanley” Monday, Feb. 6, 10:30 a.m.

This music and play activity session at the Main Library will be led by early childhood educator and musical entertainer Hugh Hanley. Hugh accompanies his singing with guitar and banjo and draws on a wide repertoire of songs and music activities that are engaging and accessible to young children. This concert is sponsored by The Friends of the Concord Free Public Library.No registration required

“Fowler Baby Time, Ages 0 – 12 Months” Monday, Feb. 6, 11 a.m.

Join us at the Fowler Branch Library for stories, songs, and a chance to chat with other parents and caregivers. No registration required.
