Discover what’s new at the Concord Free Public Library! Both Library branches will be closed Monday, February 20 in observance of Presidents’ Day.

Adult Programs.

“Afternoon Tea Book Club” Friday, Feb. 24, 2 p.m.

Join Samantha at the Fowler Branch Library to enjoy a selection of teas and discuss The School of Essential Ingredients by Erica Bauermeister, as well as cooking school recipes. Copies of the selected book are available at Fowler and through Libby. Please feel free to bring in food related to the recipe theme!

Children’s Programs

 “Art in Action! Welcoming Refugees” Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2 p.m.

Kids will learn about displaced people around the world and the crises that force them to leave their homes. Afterwards, kids will create postcards that welcome refugee families to our community and inform them about the area. For every post card created the Bezos Family Foundation – sponsors of Students Rebuild – will donate $5 to refugee-aid organizations. Recommended for ages 10 and under. This program will take place in the Children’s Activity Room at the Main Library. No registration required.

“Hip Hop Dance Party with West Concord Dance Academy” Wednesday, Feb. 22, 3:30 p.m.

Join us for a hip hop dance party with West Concord Dance Academy! Learn some new moves and get your feet moving to the beat! Recommended for ages 13 and under. Program will take place in the Goodwin Forum at the Main Library. No registration required.
