Miller, Stahl official as CCHS co-principals

March 15, 2023

Concord-Carlisle High School Principal Michael Mastrullo has formally resigned after six years, with Brian Miller and Katie Stahl named permanent co-principals, Superintendent Laurie Hunter announced.

Mastrullo has been on leave since the summer due to family obligations.

“ It is with deep appreciation that we accept and understand that his family’s needs are the priority and no longer align with the demands of being a high school principal,” Hunter wrote in a letter to CCHS families. “Mr. Mastrullo’s six years as leader at CCHS brought a consistent, caring, positive climate where the well-being of students and adults was first and foremost. Mr. Mastrullo led through normal times and crises including a major school fire and the entirety of the pandemic. We are so very grateful for his dedication and commitment to the CCHS community and wish him and his family nothing but the best.”

Both Miller snd Stahl have done well as interim co-prinicipals, which Hunter noted was a successful experiment.

“We are excited by their energy and what the future brings and are so fortunate in turbulent times to have this kind of depth within the leadership team,” she wrote. “We will search for a new Assistant Principal and Dean of Students to create a well-rounded, effective team for the years to come.

“I close with great thanks to the CCHS community for its support,” she added. “The amazing CCHS student body, families, and faculty contributed greatly to this year’s accomplishments and positive return to a more joyful pre-pandemic experience for everyone. We look forward to all that is ahead!”

The co-principals will host a Principals’ coffee for parents/guardians on Thursday, March 16, from 8:30 AM-9:30 a.m. in the CCHS Learning Commons.
