Marion and March married on May 5, 1949, and settled in Concord where they raised their family. Marion worked for the Concord public school system for over twenty years as a cafeteria worker. She enjoyed many close relationships with the students she saw on a daily basis.

Family and friends especially cherished her Christmas cookies, breads, and delightful baked goods. All her culinary creations were made with love, many of which were made from her favorite Norwegian recipes. She enjoyed knitting baby blankets, sweaters and hats, as well as crocheting afghans and blankets. Marion loved playing table games like UNO, Skip-Bo, and Dominoes. In her later years, she enjoyed word search puzzles.

Marion, and her husband March, were members of Faith Evangelical Free Church for over seventy years. They enjoyed fellowship with the members and were very involved and active in their church.
