The New Life Fine Arts Musical Theater Camp is a 10-day summer fun-filled camp experience for young people ages 8-18 to be held on the campus of the New Life Ministry Center, 221 Baker Ave. This camp is from Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., during the weeks of July 17-21 and July 24-28.
The goal is to provide a non-competitive training and rehearsal process that will climax with a showcase performance to be held on the final day, July 28, under the big top tent.
Participants will be provided opportunities to discover and develop performance skills in theatrical storytelling, singing, acting, speech, dance, and expressive movement. The 10-day camp is designed to be a safe, nurturing environment for fun and artistic development. Every child will play a part in the final showcase performance, with roles assigned by camp staff members.
Camp members are not required to do cold readings or prepare memorized audition pieces. Our teachers are specialists in their fields and have extensive experience working with children and young adults. A supportive staff of counselors are on hand to ensure that each camp participant is positioned to benefit from what is offered.
