Mary Brady, a resident of Concord Park Senior Living, and Tom Miller, a Concord Park employee, get a look at the new 24-foot Bruce Freeman Rail Trail, on Saturday May 20 2023. The mural was to be unveiled on Saturday as part of the Spring Into West Concord celebration but was postponed to Sunday due to the rain. (Ken McGagh for The Concord Bridge)

Campaign offers love for West Concord during summer road construction

July 11, 2023

Be part of the love for West Concord this summer!

The public way of Commonwealth Avenue is getting a refresh with new roadway surfacing and sidewalks with work taking place from mid July through the early autumn. Despite the disruption, businesses remain open and are eager to welcome you. Show them some love and they’ll love you back!

The West Concord Passport was inspired by similar, successful efforts to support local businesses during the pandemic.

Get one of the passports. You can pick up one from the Fowler Library at 1322 Main Street, clip one from the pages of the Concord Bridge, or print one from home from the town’s website of VisitConcord.org/Visit/West-Concord/

When checking out at local businesses, ask for a stamp. Keep receipts from online purchases.

Shop in at least three different West Concord businesses to fill your card. Each week a different West Concord business will be highlighted. Visit that week’s featured business and earn a double stamp on your passport.

Once your card is completed, share it with us. Completed cards will be entered in the Weekly Wednesday Drawing starting on July 26. All entries will be automatically entered into the final, Grand Prize Drawing taking place on October 4.

Completed cards can be emailed to Visitors@ConcordMa.Gov or dropped off in person to the collection box at the Fowler Library at 1322 Main Street.
