Lightning shuts down CCHS football; team rallies to defeat Shepherd Hill

Lightning strikes in the distance at Concord-Carlisle’s Memorial Field after a suspension of play with 5:52 left in the first quarter of the opening game of the season against Shepherd Hill Regional, Friday, September 8. Players took shelter in the gym and fans in their cars before officials called the game shortly before 9 p.m. Play resumed Saturday morning with Concord-Carlisle defeating Shepherd Hill 41-8.
