Fowler Family Diwali Gala!

Let’s celebrate Diwali! Join us to make rangolis, get henna art, craft garlands and learn about the Indian Festival of Lights. Feel free to bring snacks to share! Fowler Branch Library.

Concord Festival of Authors: Mystery Night 

Monday, October 30 at 7 p.m. 

The Friends of the Concord Free Public Library present the Concord Festival of Authors Mystery Night 2023, moderated by Kate Flora! This year’s event features mystery and thriller authors Gledé Browne Kabongo, John Nardizzi and Sharon Healy Yang. Main Library. 

League of Women Voters: First Fridays 

Friday, November 3 at 10 a.m. 

Visit the Goodwin Forum for a variety of conversations surrounding current topics, organized and led by the League of Women Voters. Main Library. No registration required. 

Next Chapter Book Club 

Saturday, November 4 at 1 p.m. 

Let’s read together over lunch! Join our chapter of the national Next Chapter Book Club, a group dedicated to helping people with disabilities enjoy books, friends, and their community. Each meeting, we will read and discuss selected books together. This program is offered in partnership with Minute Man Arc. We will also share lunch. While we do our best to accommodate a range of dietary needs, please feel free to bring your own food! This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Concord Free Public Library. Spooky Storytime (for Big Kids!) 

Saturday, October 28 at 2 p.m. 

Join us for some (slightly!) spooky stories on an autumn afternoon! Recommended for spooky story fans ages 4 and up. Main Library. No registration required. 

Pumpkin Decorating for Kids 

Monday, October 30 at 4:30 p.m. 

Drop in for a festive evening decorating pumpkins! We’ll provide the pumpkins and decorations; you provide the creativity. Then, enter your pumpkin in our Pumpkin Decorating Contest (beginning at 5 p.m.) for the chance to win special prizes! Main Library. No registration required. 

Teens 

Teen Advisory Board 

Tuesday, November 7 at 3:30 p.m. 

Teen Advisory Board is a monthly meeting of teen volunteers who work with the Library to help us plan programs, buy materials, and run events. Attendees receive 1 hour of community service and get first crack at future community service opportunities! Main Library. No registration required. 

Dungeons and Dragons 

Wednesday, November 8 at 3:30 p.m. 

Try your hand at tabletop heroics in our new, ongoing game. Build a character, choose your weapon, and lay waste to nasty critters with a roll of the dice. Email Erick at egordy@minlib.net with any questions! Main Library. No registration required.
