Concord Indivisible rally on Jan. 6 will feature former governor Deval Patrick

On the third anniversary of the January 6, 2021 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol, members of Concord Indivisible, Reclaim Our Democracy, and their allies will gather at First Parish in Concord to kick start their work for the election of 2024.

Former Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick will address the crowd, along with Danielle Allen, former gubernatorial candidate and president of Partners in Democracy.

“The rally will underscore the urgency of protecting American democratic institutions,” notes Diane Proctor, a member of Concord’s Indivisible Steering Committee who will serve as moderator for the even

“As the threat of losing our democracy to authoritarianism grows, we are more committed than ever to protecting it,” Proctor notes. “We gather to remind all what’s at stake – from respect for the rule of law and fair elections, to loyalty to the Constitution and elected officials who serve the common good.”

State Reps. Simon Cataldo and Carmine Gentile will also speak at the rally, as well as Rob Munro, Assistant Head at Concord Academy. Indivisible Massachusetts Coalition is a co-sponsor of the event –
along with Greater Andover Indivisible, Indivisible Acton Area, and IndivisibleLAB.
