Board of Assessors to discuss rising property valuations

January 11, 2024

Michael Tarello of Vision Government Solutions, the Town of Concord’s property appraisal and valuation firm, will be on hand at a January 18 Board of Assessors meeting to “discuss the trends in property values that are contributing to the Fiscal Year 2024 valuations,” Town Assessor Meredith Stone said.

As The Concord Bridge has previously reported, on average, the assessed value of a home in the town is going up 15% for Fiscal Year 2024 based on home sales data from calendar year 2022. The calculation is not related to the town’s implementation of a new residential tax exemption, Stone said.

The meeting will take place at 6 p.m. at the Town House, 22 Monument Square. A Zoom link for virtual attendance will be posted with the meeting agenda on the town website, www.concordma.gov.
