I am writing to endorse the candidacy of Elizabeth (Liz) Cobbs to the Concord School Committee. As a co-chair of the Concord Personnel Board, along with Liz as the other co-chair, I have been able to observe her many outstanding qualities that would be integral to furthering the goals of the School Committee and supporting the interests of the town, its citizens, the students, teachers, and other interested parties.
In her role with the Personnel Board, Liz has demonstrated an ability to move the board forward in new directions. She is a major contributor, along with her colleagues, in advancing a new Personnel Bylaw for approval at the 2024 Town Meeting.
Liz is capable of parsing an issue and being an effective communicator with all parties. She knows how to listen; how to ask clarifying questions; and how to present her position to her audience.
It has been a real pleasure serving with Liz on the Personnel Board, and I know, if elected, she would make an outstanding contribution to the School Committee.
