I am writing in strong support of Liz Cobbs for the Concord School Committee.
I have worked with Liz Cobbs on several major projects for our community. Each time Liz demonstrated her skills in collaborating with a broad spectrum of people as well as listening to complex issues with an understanding of tradeoffs. She forged her strategy with values that reflected a view toward the future for everyone as a priority.
I have lived in Concord for over 50 years and have served on the School Committee as well as the Finance Committee and other local committees and Task Forces. I know the dedication it takes as well as a broad set of views and opinions to incorporate them into long range strategies that will benefit both our children as well as our fellow citizens.
Although Liz is a relatively new resident of Concord, she has already proven her commitment to our community by serving on the town Personnel Board. She also understands the complexity of the issues that are faced by the school committee. She has been a volunteer in her childrens’ schools.
I believe Liz’s academic and business experiences are critical to the challenges that lie ahead. Liz will use her collaborative skills; fiscal know-how as well as her penchant for excellence for all.
