Let’s give Tracey Marano another term on the School Committee

March 3, 2024

I am writing to express my enthusiastic support for Tracey Marano’s candidacy for the School Committee. All four of Tracey’s children have attended Concord Public Schools, K-12, and she’s been a deeply committed volunteer for over a decade – serving as Alcott PTG President, CMS PTG President and President of the Concord Ed Fund. My children attended Alcott and CMS during her presidencies and I personally witnessed how students benefited from her passion, commitment and leadership, helping to ensure that every child receives the support they need to thrive academically and emotionally.

As a former president of the Concord Ed Fund, a non-profit dedicated to supplementing educational funding for innovative classroom programs, I worked hand in hand with Tracey for several years. She held the title before I did, and as president she established practices that the Ed Fund still uses today. Her unwavering empathy and genuine commitment to putting students first made her transition to School Committee seamless. Tracey’s tenure as the former president of the Concord Ed Fund exemplifies her dedication to the betterment of our schools.

Tracey’s commitment to inclusivity is another commendable aspect of her candidacy. Her willingness to listen to all constituents, including those from Concord, Boston and Carlisle, underscores her understanding of the diverse needs within our school district. She has developed deep connections to all three communities, providing her with a comprehensive perspective that will contribute to effective and inclusive decision-making. Her ability to identify and prioritize the needs of all students has been a hallmark of the work she has done for our children and will continue to do as a member of the School Committee.
