I am writing to support the candidacy of Henry Dane for re-election to the Concord Select Board. I’ve watched Henry at a professional and personal level for the past 20 years and know that he has a quiet passion to do things right. Right for our community, right for our people, and right for our times. Yes, he asks hard questions. Those are questions that need to be answered if we are to move forward effectively and efficiently as a town. He has worked hard to control expenses and keep taxes reasonable for all income levels. He wants to understand a problem, identify solutions, and move to fix it. He is not one to support a bureaucracy. He believes that people’s time is important and shouldn’t be wasted. He is a good leader, knowing when to let things run without intervention and when to dig into the details. Finally, he believes in the deep heritage that is Concord, and wants to protect but also to evolve it to better serve us all.
Needless to say, he’ll get my vote!
