CCHS Multicultural Food Fest whets worldly tastes

In a display of unity and cultural celebration, the Class Government of Concord-Carlisle High School this month hosted the school’s annual Multicultural Food Fest.  

The event, which has become a favorite in the school calendar, showcased the rich variety of cultures represented within its student body, offering a culinary journey around the world.

From savory dishes to sweet delicacies, the festival transformed the cafeteria into a bustling fair of flavors and aromas.

Students, teachers, and community members gathered to indulge in an array of cuisines, each a testament to its creators’ unique heritage and traditions.

The festival featured an impressive lineup of culinary delights, including mouth-watering flan from Puerto Rico, freshly made cannoli from Italy, cheese pancakes from Ukraine, and gimbap, a seaweed wrapped rice dish from Korea.

For many students, the event served as a platform to share their cultural heritage with their peers and foster a sense of pride in their identity.

More than 70 community members generously brought in food representing about 50 countries.

Beyond the delectable food, the festival also featured live performances showcasing the talents of CCHS’s diverse student body.

Each musical performance reflected the unique cultural heritage of its performers, captivating the audience and enhancing the cheerful atmosphere.
