Make Concord’s streets a priority: fund repairs

April 24, 2024

I live on Staffordshire Lane, which is a private way off Main Street.

Every time my wife and I drive out onto Main Street, we go bumping over extensive potholes. It doesn’t matter which way we turn. Either way, our car, and we within it, get shaken again and again. It aggravates back pain and cannot be good for our cars.

The condition of Main Street, also known as Route 62, is not friendly to our local drivers or to the many tourists who flock to this historic town.

I believe that the Department of Public Works wants to take care of this. We really hope that adequate funding for DPW is high up on the Town Meeting priority list.
