Adult Programs

“Game Time at Fowler with Minuteman Arc” Saturday, Jan. 28, 2 p.m.

Join fellow game enthusiasts to play Sorry, Operation, Uno, and other classic games at the Fowler Branch Library. This program is sponsored by Minute Man Arc, and we welcome teens and adults with cognitive differences. No registration required.

“The World’s A Stage Players Present the ‘Playing Shakespeare’ Workshops” Sunday, Jan. 29, 1:30 p.m.

The World’s A Stage Players are excited to host a series of five workshops that will work with the scenes, speeches, and sonnets from Shakespeare. The workshops will tackle using both verse and prose, finding character through language, exploring speeches and soliloquies, and utilizing irony, passion, and coolness. Email worldsastageplayersma@gmail.com to register. This program will take place in the Goodwin Forum at the Main Library.

“Fowler After Hours: Flowers and Flow Art Reception” Tuesday, Jan. 31, 6:30 p.m.

Take advantage of a last chance to see the “Flowers and Flow” art show at the Fowler Branch Library, a collaboration with ArtScape and West Concord Green Thumbs.

“Daniel Chester French: Art & Enterprise in Concord” Thursday, Feb. 2, 7 p.m.

Join the William Munroe Special Collections in the Goodwin Forum at the Main Library for the opening of the exhibit: “Art & Enterprise: Daniel Chester French in Concord.” The evening will feature a presentation, “From the Minute Man to the Melvin Memorial: Daniel Chester French and his Concord Connections,” by Dana Pilson. Light refreshments will be served, and guests will have the opportunity to view the exhibit in the Art Gallery on the second floor of the Library. This event is proudly sponsored by the Concord Free Public Library Corporation.

Teen Programs

“Teen Board Game Advisory Board” Thursday, Feb. 2, 3:30 p.m.

Teens! Join The Board Game Advisory Board and receive your very own Board Game Board Member membership card! Choose games from our selection at the Library, plan which games we purchase in the future, or bring your own games from home – board games, table top role playing, card games, and more are all welcome! Popcorn will ALWAYS be provided. Program will take place in the Teen Lounge at the Main Library.

Children’s Programs

“Musical Monday with Alan Goodrich” Monday, Jan. 30, 10:30 a.m.

Enjoy music and stories with Alan Goodrich! Alan is a guitarist and singer-songwriter who presents live music concerts “for kids of all ages,” including classic and current children’s songs as well as original songs. Thanks to the Friends of the Concord Free Public Library for sponsoring this program. No registration required.

“Lego Club at Fowler” Friday, Feb. 3, 3:30 p.m.

Come play with us! Join fellow builders to construct from the Fowler Branch Library Lego collection. Try out weekly challenges or work on your own project. No registration required.
