Winter programs for kids at Concord Conservatory

January 19, 2024

Concord Conservatory of Music is offering winter programs for kids as young as six all the way up to group classes for adults.

For aspiring young singers, Beginner Vocals (ages 6-8) and the Concord Conservatory Children’s Chorus (ages 9-13) offer breathing exercises, pitch refinement, voice placement, range development, and tone enhancement — with training culminating in recital placements. Led by professional vocalists and instructors, kids sing in a group for a confidence-boosting experience.

On the adult side, acoustic instrumentalists can join the Let’s Pick: Bluegrass Solo Workshop, exploring a variety of soloing techniques to take playing to the next level. Ukulele 2 gives players an opportunity to work on movable chord shapes, more diverse strumming patterns, and fingerpicking while playing a range of genres and styles, including pop and folk songs, Irish tunes, and Renaissance music.

Those with experience can also join The Ukulele Club to expand their repertoire.
