Concord School Committee needs Liz Cobbs’s perspective

March 16, 2024

Concord parents and taxpayers need the collaboration and listening skills that Liz Cobbs would bring to the Concord School Committee.

As co-chair of the Concord Personnel Board, Liz collaborated with her fellow members to move the Board to a more strategic view of the personnel function, viewing town employees as core stakeholders in delivering essential services to the town. She worked with her team to refresh the Personnel Bylaw to better enable attracting, hiring, and retaining the very best employees for our town. Voters will have a chance to weigh in on this refreshed Personnel Bylaw at the 2024 Town Meeting.

I am sure she will bring that same 360-degree perspective to the School Committee. Listening carefully to all stakeholders in a decision, integrating the public in committee deliberations, and working with her fellow committee members to make decisions and build solutions that truly reflect the best of Concord.

Her experience living and working is simply a bonus — bringing a lived sensitivity to cultural diversity and an intuition about differing learning and collaboration styles.

Please join me in supporting Liz Cobbs for School Committee.
