The Concord-Carlisle boys hockey team ended its season in the third round of playoffs having made it to the Elite 8 round for the first time in a very long time — and what a memorable season it was.

The team broke CC hockey records this season, achieving many firsts before concluding its run with a 6-2 loss to Boston Latin at the O’Brien Ice Rink in Woburn.

Here’s a highlight reel of some of the squad’s accomplishments:

● Clinching a playoff spot in the first 10 games.

● Filling the stands: CC fans packed The Edge and traveled to away games to support the team. Many games were standing room only; two were “sold out.”

● Ranking in the top 3 for Division 2 boys hockey all year and beating several Division 1 teams.

● Ranking in the top 20 across all divisions in Massachusetts boys hockey most of the year.

● Defeating multiple teams twice — or more — in a single season.

● Coach Rion Murray notching a new “wins in a single season” record.

● Winning the annual Warriors 4 Warriors / Patriots 4 Patriots game.

● Claiming the title of Battle Road Classic champs — repeatedly.

● Forming a new partnership with the Cradles to Crayons charity.

● Finding and adopting the “Team Chair,” now part of the season’s legacy.

● Enjoying more than 20 team dinners — that’s a lot of pasta and meatballs, mac n’ cheese, spinach salad, caesar salad, garlic bread, green smoothies, burritos, chicken sandwiches, cookies and cupcakes!

● Playing the Fifth Annual Concord Cup — the hardest trophy to win in sports — outside.

● Making friendships and memories that will last a lifetime.
